#Circuit Training with Equipment

After not being active at the gym since past 3 months, I decided to join the Circuit Training with Equipment conducted by PGA Bodyengineer (my previous Personal Trainer). First session started yesterday, Sunday 7.30am at Trufitness Gym.

Its a combination of workouts with different gym equipment non stop. For our first session, we did 11 machines (2 for chest, 2 for back, 2 for shoulders, 2 for biceps, 2 for triceps and 1 for leg). How it works?

  • 20 secs jog on the spot
  • 30 secs machine no. 1
  • 20 secs jog on the spot
  • 30 secs machine no. 2

…. continue until machine no. 11

Rest 3 mins…… continue round 2

  • 20 secs high knee
  • 30 secs machine no. 1
  • 20 secs high knee
  • 30 secs machine no. 2

….. continue until machine no. 11

Rest 3 mins…. continue round 3

  • 10 secs squat jumps
  • 30 secs machine no. 1
  • 10 secs squat jumps
  • 30 secs machine no. 2

…… continue until machine no. 11

So 3 rounds of circuit with equipment and rest period in between takes about 32 minutes. This was my first time ever doing circuit training with gym equipment.

So how did I feel?ย First round was ok… 2nd round i had to reduce the weights or else i could not finish the 30 secs on the machines and 3rd round with the squat jumps, last 2 machines I was unable to do the squat jumps so just did the normal squats…. completely drained out.

Did I enjoy this? Absolutely. I cannot wait for our next session.
